How the grading system works
Bank a Bed will allocate one credit for every room night given. Regardless of your star rating.
But.. ..The Member requesting that accommodation will be debited according to their star rating i.e. if you are a 3 star and wish to stay in a 5 star, you will be debited with 2 credits per night, so you will pay more to stay in a 5 star.
For example:
If you trade a 5-star with a 5-star / 4-star with a 4-star / 3-star with a 3-star, these would equate equally (i.e. 6 days requested would require 6 credits)
If you trade a 3-star with a 5-star for 6 days, then you require 12 credits.
If you trade a 3-star with a 4-star for 6 days, then you require 9 credits.
And so on.
Credits will be allocated as follows:
Our sophisticated online system will automatically calculate the exchange.
5-star will be allocated 2 credits
4-star will be allocated 1+1/2 credits
3-star will be allocated 1 credit
Unknown will be allocated 1 credit (the same as 3 star)
On registration, you will enter in your star rating or approximate star rating (Only 3-star and upwards qualify as members, unless your property has unique features then, kindly contact Bank a Bed to confirm. All unknown ratings will qualify as a 3 star.)
How To Bank Your Beds
How it works - When a member requests accommodation from you
You will receive an email that there has been a “request from Bank a Bed”
You go to the Bank a Bed Website www.bankabed.com and log in
You go to the top menu and choose My Account (see diagram below)
Your Request Organiser will open and you will see the request
You simply Accept, Regret, or Accommodate and press SEND
Your credits are transferred from their a/c to you’re a/c
You can at this point check your BANK A/C and see that the credits have increased
How it works - When you want to make a booking
You will go to the Bank a Bed Website www.bankabed.com and log in
You will be on the Landing Page, where you can choose a Country, Region and Town, or you can View all.
Choose and view the property. Press Make a Booking
Booking Request form opens with drop down menu to make it easy i.e. number of people, how many rooms, type of resort, type of accommodation.
Then you enter your dates of arrival and departure Press SUBMIT PREFERRED DATES
You can also submit alternative dates, if you wish
There is even a space for NOTES
PRESS SUBMIT at the bottom of page and your request is automatically on it’s way by email
