Why Bank Your Beds?
The simple truth is that , we all have some empty beds for at least 40% to 60% of the time. You can now trade these beds, for real value, giving you a well deserved holiday as often as you like.
What It Costs:
Membership for one year costs a mere R 960-00 per annum ....no other costs incurred.
No booking fees, No Levies and No commission.
R 960-00 is the equivalent cost of accommodation for one room night!
What do you get:
Your membership entitles you to two significant advantages:
Firstly your R 960-00 earns 7 credits which gives you FREE accommodation worth roughly R6000-00 to R8000-00
Secondly you may earn further credits, by providing free accommodation to fellow members i.e. using up your unoccupied rooms!
For each (double or twin) room night offered at your establishment Free of charge, you will earn one credit.
What do I do
You allow fellow members to use your down time (essentially lost value since the room is empty) for 7 nights or more for which you are paid in credits. These nights can be spread over a year.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Explain the R 960-00 please? Well we wanted to offer great value for a professional service so, for the cost of roughly one night, you get 7 nights free accommodation. (remember that all accommodation you offer to other members, is paid for in credits)
2. 7 nights is perhaps good value but the time is rather limited. How do I buy more nights? And what does it cost? This is the real beauty of this system. Once you are a member you can trade more of your down-time to gain more credits. e.g. If you offer a further 7 nights free accommodation, you will have accumulated 14 nights - at no extra cost!.
3. How many rooms do I need to offer? I only have four rooms? The system is effective on just one room but if you should have an opportunity to offer more rooms, obviously you will earn more credits.
4. How, long does my membership last? We hope you will be a member forever! – the annual subscription to renew will always be at roughly the value of one nights accommodation.
5. What if I can’t use my credits this year? You simply accumulate credits, you never lose them.
6. Where can I use these credits? You will be amazed at the international options on offer. And the list of new members is increasing daily – meaning an increased range of destinations for you to visit. Some good advise: By visiting your fellow members in your own country – you will not only enjoy regular, well earned breaks, you will learn about new ideas to upgrade and you will join the best referral system available for foreign tourists travelling around the country.
7. Is this Accommodation only valid for my use? Not at all, you may offer credits to family or friends, or use as a business incentive, but we expect members to be circumspect insofar as you are asking your co-owners to host persons as considerate as you are.
8. I am concerned that sub-standard accommodation will spoil my holiday? You can confidently choose because all accommodation is graded 3-5star. Also all establishments have a website for you to assess their standard. We also include unique properties i.e. cottages on farms and mountains and properties in desirable locations i.e. Mozambique between the Sea and the Lagoon which have not been graded. So please check the website to avoid disappointment.
9. If Properties are of varying standards, why should I trade my 5 star for a 3 star? Very good question – we cater for this. If you are 5 star then you will get double the nights in a 3 star i.e. 7 credits = 14 nights. Now if you are a 3 star then you will get half the nights in a 5 star i.e. if you have 7 credits=3 nights and you will have a balance of 1 night.
10. The Tourism Grading Council, graded us at a 4 star level, but we didn’t register? We would be very happy to accept the 4 star standard set by the Council. We do encourage owners to support the grading systems, as they are the only confident way of measuring our standards of professionalism, comfort and luxury.
